My Journey

My Holistic journey started with a simple comment from my wife.

Why didn't I look into doing a course in the holistic field, like Indian Head Massage or general massage.

My mother-in-law had been a domiciliary nurse at the Highway Hospice for many years, and mentioned that there was a bereavement course being run. I enrolled to do the course, and discovered that I really enjoyed learning how to make someone feel better, even if it was only mentally at this point.

There, I met a Reiki Master, Sabita, who suggested I do a Reiki 1st degree.

This turned out to be my first holistic course qualification.

I was hooked and my true calling quickly became apparent to me.

The Yaraka School of Holistic Therapies offered a multitude of holistic therapy courses.

My first qualification, through them, was an Indian Head Massage Diploma.

Then, I enrolled in a 2 year Reflexology Diploma Course.

This course was intense, with subjects like Reflexology Theory and practical, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Counselling, First Aid, Nutrition, Business Management and Pharmacology. Before qualifying, I also had to do 160 hours of case studies.

Over the next 15 years I have added many more qualifications to my growing list of treatments I now offer.

Then in 2017 I qualified as a TQUK Level 3 Teacher. This qualification enabled me to teach all the therapies I had previously learned.

Life is an adventure, and on this adventure we have different journeys.

Embrace them all with love and light.
